I did two recipes last week. One was amazing and the other was a big disappointment. I thought I’d save the amazing for later this week. I’ll admit, the disappointment was a little upsetting in the recipe department. Last week was a rough week for me personally and it just felt like everything was going wrong. Not that I was banking my happiness on these Honey Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas, but I had high hopes since I found a million recipes for these.
I thought they were plain, some were burnt, some were soft in the middle and some were extra crunchy. The honey made them sticky and then your fingers were sticky. Which I can’t stand. Just….A what a disappointment. Needless to say, these ended up being donated to the trash gods.
Since gluten-free has some failures, I thought it was appropriate to share mine. It happens. Not as often as it used to, but when it does — it’s still a disappointment. I really thought this would work..there were so many recipes. All basically the same, so I don’t think it was recipe I picked. I haven’t given up on having some roasted chickpeas…but I definitely think I’ll be trying a different version. No honey. No sticky. Definitely flavor and crunch!
