Bella’s gluten-free pizza dough, rolls and focaccia mix is made with stone-ground whole grains with organic Italian herbs and includes a yeast packet. One package of mix will make two 15″ pizza crust, two focaccia, 12 hamburger rolls, 18 dinner rolls and two baguettes. Bella’s mix uses 100% natural ingredients and is gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free, egg-free, nut-free, peanut-free, lactose/casein-free and non-GMO. Wow! Any one can enjoy this mix and it’s really easy to make. You need to add three eggs, 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 1/4 cup of olive oil and two tablespoons of sugar or sugar alternative. On the back on the package, depending on what you are making, there are complete instructions for each.
I decided to make the rolls using a muffin tin. The package will make 18 dinners rolls or you can freeze half the dough, up to four months, to make either a 15″ pizza crust or more rolls at a later date. I think it’s great that you have so many different options with one mix. And freezing half is a time saver for another meal. The rolls were delicious. The smell of fresh baking bread was wonderful, especially since my office is right next to the kitchen. Once they were out of the oven, I smeared a pat of butter on one and enjoyed the heavenly taste of warm bread filled with Italian herbs. I decided to freeze some of the baked rolls and see how they would do. I definitely prefer the rolls freshly baked. The ones out of the freezer didn’t taste a fresh and got a little spongy once heated up. They also lost a lot of their herb flavor too.

Overall, I really, really liked these rolls. You wouldn’t know they are gluten-free or allergen-free. The taste was wonderful and herby with no funky after taste. The texture was just like gluten bread and didn’t crumble apart with the first slice or bite. I love that you can use the one mix for several different recipes and freeze half for later. I’m definitely on the hunt now for their new product line “Cup-To-Table.” I can’t wait to try their Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and Tender Flaky Biscuit Mix.
